WaveSpark cool team is built from experts in mobility and energy systems testing, oceanography, wave physics and naval engineering. We develop multi-functional wave energy converter economically harvesting sea waves, wind and solar energy. We analyzed the experience of 180 startups which formed wave energy industry from 1990-s and several thousand patents. This allowed us to find where to innovate for best solutions and which mistakes to avoid.
These floating structures have to stay near the shores where clean energy consumers are – communities, marinas, ports, aquaculture, desalination, resorts, scientific and governmental organizations, floating and on-shore e-boat and EV chargers. Power is produced and stored both on-board and on-shore allowing to develop e-boat-based fishing, tourism, transport and research as well as build floating mobile communications, marine traffic surveillance and scientific installations.
Our design is Zero Harm to the Sea© – sea water is the working fluid, material degradation in the sea is avoided, everything is lubricated by sea water or edible greases, biocide-free – fouling with marine plants is welcome, and anchors are artificial reefs to host marine flora and fauna. Major share of power equipment is on-shore making these systems affordable. After de-commissioning floating elements will serve as pontoons in marinas or aquaculture
