Rail is already the most sustainable way to move people and goods. The problem is that it is full: there is no room for more trains without building new tracks. Directrains solves this problem by reorganizing how trains move, without building anything new. Our Dynamic Coupling system lets trains join and separate while moving, so several trains share one timetable slot instead of each needing its own. The result is more capacity on an existing line, using the same tracks, the same signalling and the same trains: more room to move traffic off the road, with no new land use, no new concrete and no waiting for infrastructure to be built. Tested at full scale on a real railway with our partner CERTIA in France, Dynamic Coupling can be rolled out one line at a time, so the emissions savings start with the first route and grow with every network that already exists.
