About Us

ReSalt develops low-carbon building materials made from waste salt. By repurposing the vast excess of salt generated as a byproduct of various industrial processes, an estimated 170-200 million tonnes of solid salt waste each year, ReSalt turns an environmental liability into a high-value construction resource.
Unlike cement, which is energy-intensive and responsible for more than 8% of global CO₂ emissions, ReSalt’s bricks, blocks, and tiles are produced through a compression-based process that operates at room temperature, dramatically reducing energy use and carbon footprint. The resulting products are designed to meet or exceed the strength of cement (targeting the ASTM C90 standard for load-bearing masonry units) and offer additional properties including flame retardancy, high heat capacity, antibacterial performance, and radio-frequency transparency.
This circular, low-energy approach addresses two problems at once: cement’s emissions and industry’s salt waste, without compromising on strength or durability.
