About Us

Primal Bee is a company rethinking the beehive from the ground up.

While much of the beekeeping industry has focused on adding monitoring, treatments and technology to the traditional wooden hive, Primal Bee redesigned the hive itself around bee biology and thermodynamics.

Our patented system creates a more stable internal environment, reducing the energy colonies need to spend regulating temperature and humidity and allowing stronger colonies to develop. The result is a healthier and more productive biological system, with benefits across colony resilience, honey production, agricultural pollination and beekeeper economics.

After more than a decade of R&D and field validation, Primal Bee is now in commercial scale-up. Since launching commercially in the U.S. in 2025, we have deployed thousands of hives across the U.S. and international markets and built a growing base of commercial beekeeping customers. Importantly, we are beginning to see customers significantly expand their deployments after successful first seasons, validating the potential for a strong land-and-expand model.

Alongside commercial adoption, Primal Bee has completed successful field trials and agricultural pollination pilots across multiple crops and geographies. Recent almond pollination trials conducted with the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture showed Primal Bee colonies outperforming conventional hives at both trial sites, reinforcing the potential of better hive infrastructure to support more productive and resilient pollination.
